Idea for the "Filter" functionality in "Snapshot View" in Save & Restore

I have the following idea for the "Filter" functionality in the "Snapshot View" the Save & Restore application, with the intention of making the filter-functionality more intuitive.

Currently, unless "Preserve selection after" is checked, filtering automatically de-selects all PVs that are filtered out. With "Preserve selection after" checked, the selection is retained, but then one has to think about whether to check "Preserve selection after" before or after applying a filter in order to achieve the intended effect.

I believe that this automatic de-selecting is counter intuitive, and would like to propose the following changes:

1. Filtering alone should not change any selection.
2. Instead, I propose to add buttons for the (de-)selection actions one may want to perform: (1) a button "De-select filtered-out PVs" and (2) a button "Select filtered-out PVs".

With these changes, the checkbox "Preserve selection after" could be removed, since the behavior it implements becomes the default, and the (de-)selection of filtered-out PVs become realizable through the two new buttons.

I believe this would be a more intuitive way to work with filters in order to select and de-select PVs.
