StackStorm v3.10 release
The work on Linux distribution support is complete and will be merged to master in the following few days.
- Deprecated Ubuntu 20.04 Focal
- Deprecated RockyLinux 8
- Updated RockyLinux 9 (using Python 3.11)
- Maintained Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy
- Added Ubuntu 24.04 Noble
- Added Rocky Linux 10
The supported Python version for StackStorm v3.10 ranges from 3.10 to 3.12
Now that this work is complete, it has unblocked the critical work of encapsulating eventlet usage in the concurrency framework.
On behalf of StackStorm users, a big thank you to AJ guzzijones, Jake Z skiedude and Carlos nzlosh for their effort over the last 5 months to achieve this milestone.
Pants
A update via slack, Jacob cognifloyd as indicated; following the completion of a large project that has consumed his free time, he'll be able to help on the StackStorm project.
Eventlet Deprecation
With Python and Linux distribution work completed, work can resume on encapsulating eventlet calls into the StackStorm concurrency framework. During the encapsulation process, gevent calls of similar functionality will be introduced for functional parity between the two libraries. Jake skiedude will be taking the lead on this work.
