Criteria for the official third-party-database-tools support tier (GUI clients) #23461

Description

@hankhoffmeier

I help with Beekeeper Studio (https://beekeeperstudio.io, github.com/beekeeper-studio/beekeeper-studio), an open-source SQL client with native CockroachDB support. It's already listed under Visualization tools on the community tooling page (https://www.cockroachlabs.com/docs/stable/community-tooling).

I noticed the third-party-database-tools page (https://www.cockroachlabs.com/docs/stable/third-party-database-tools) lists DBeaver as the only GUI with an official support tier (tested version + Full support), separate from the community page. Before I go through the ISV Technology Partner Program application, I wanted to ask directly: is a docs-only listing on that page ever possible for an actively-maintained, widely-used client outside the full partner/certification process, or is the partner program the only route to that page for GUI tools?

Happy to provide whatever's useful, usage numbers, our own compatibility testing against CockroachDB, release cadence, etc. Just want to make sure I'm pointed at the right process before investing time in it.

Thanks!

Hank H
