I do think there is somewhat of an issue here, but you can partially workaround that by using ...> for continuing the current iex prompt. So it would look something like this:

iex> spec =
...> CLIX.Spec.new(
...> {:calc,
...>   %{
...>     summary: "A simple calculator.",
...>     description: """
...>     This calculator is for demostrating the funtionality of 'CLIX. Doc'.
...>     You can copy and play with it.

Although you'll still run into the problem fixed by #39

edit: Actually I wonder if it would make sense to make using iex> within a multi-line string give a warning.
