Hi, I'm the new maintainer of Halide's CMake build and I just read your very valid (and humorous!) critique of Halide's old build story. Happily, I think it's no longer quite true if you use the CMake tools we built over the last year and deployed in Halide 10.0. For instance, to build the generator in the README, you would simply write:
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 3.16)
project(example)
find_package(Halide REQUIRED)
add_executable(generator generator.cpp)
target_link_libraries(generator PRIVATE Halide::Generator)
add_halide_library(my_first_generator FROM generator)
I was wondering whether this project was still active and whether there were any requirements you had that are still not met by the new build infrastructure.
