Enable IDE-like navigation when file/code is opened in the right panel

The problem

To enable AI to plan better, I always share entry points in my initial prompt in plan mode. Paths to files, folders, and references to functions. The fastest way to find them is still via my IDE (actually, that's the only IDE usage I have these days). I open a file, explore the code, navigate to another file by clicking on a function usage… Until I find the right thing.

The Copilot app lets me open a specific file in the right panel, but it doesn't let me navigate from it to the functions/dependencies that file/code uses.

Feature request

If it were possible without leaving the right panel, I wouldn't need to use an IDE anymore. Even entry points lookup will be achieved in the Copilot app.

Maybe Copilot app can do local codebase indexing on the background when the session is opened to enable this IDE-like navigation in the file viewer?
