From 7331f9333dc0a4d415f66326085bee232068f076 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Miao Yang Date: Mon, 5 Oct 2026 23:30:28 +0800 Subject: [PATCH 1/8] feat(cli): link the desktop app to the claude code session that made a project While the Claude Code session that made a project is open, the desktop app can send its chat to that session instead of starting its own agent. - .hyperframes/agent-link.json records the session and its inbox socket (Claude Code cross-session messaging). open, the Studio button and preview write it; any command in a linked project refreshes it after a resume. - preview relays the app's messages to the session that started it (POST /api/agent-link/message, bearer token from the owner-only link file). Run as the session's own background task, the relay is delivered even when the session skips permission prompts. - Skills: under Claude Code, start the final preview with --foreground as the session's background task, and treat a message from the desktop app as the user's request. --- packages/cli/src/cli.ts | 12 ++ packages/cli/src/commands/open.ts | 10 +- packages/cli/src/commands/preview.ts | 6 + packages/cli/src/server/desktopRoutes.test.ts | 79 +++++++++++- packages/cli/src/server/desktopRoutes.ts | 55 +++++++- packages/cli/src/server/studioServer.ts | 4 +- packages/cli/src/utils/agentLink.test.ts | 118 ++++++++++++++++++ packages/cli/src/utils/agentLink.ts | 116 +++++++++++++++++ packages/cli/src/utils/desktopApp.test.ts | 14 ++- packages/cli/src/utils/desktopApp.ts | 6 +- skills-manifest.json | 4 +- skills/hyperframes-cli/SKILL.md | 4 +- .../references/preview-render.md | 2 + skills/hyperframes/SKILL.md | 2 + 14 files changed, 417 insertions(+), 15 deletions(-) create mode 100644 packages/cli/src/utils/agentLink.test.ts create mode 100644 packages/cli/src/utils/agentLink.ts diff --git a/packages/cli/src/cli.ts b/packages/cli/src/cli.ts index 75e78863694..1dd4d28859e 100644 --- a/packages/cli/src/cli.ts +++ b/packages/cli/src/cli.ts @@ -242,6 +242,18 @@ if ( }); } +// A resumed Claude Code session has a new inbox: a command run in a linked project points the desktop app at it. +if (!isHelp && command !== "unknown") { + void import("./utils/agentLink.js") + .then(({ refreshAgentLinks }) => + refreshAgentLinks([ + process.cwd(), + ...process.argv.slice(3).filter((a) => !a.startsWith("-")), + ]), + ) + .catch(() => {}); +} + // `events` skips the update check too — a skill-usage beacon must not add // network latency or trigger a background self-upgrade on the calling skill. // `telemetry` skips it because update metadata must never race the command diff --git a/packages/cli/src/commands/open.ts b/packages/cli/src/commands/open.ts index 9c1a97e68d4..2928754000b 100644 --- a/packages/cli/src/commands/open.ts +++ b/packages/cli/src/commands/open.ts @@ -21,7 +21,15 @@ const WHY_NOT: Record["reason"], s function printResult(project: ProjectDir, result: DesktopOpenResult): void { if (result.opened) { console.log(`${c.success("◇")} Opening ${c.accent(project.name)} in ${result.app}`); - if (result.handedOver) { + if (result.link) { + console.log( + ` ${c.dim("Its chat goes to this Claude Code session while it is open, then picks up the conversation.")}`, + ); + if (!result.link.relay) + console.log( + ` ${c.dim(`To reach it also when permission prompts are skipped, keep ${c.accent("npx hyperframes preview --foreground")} running as this session's own background task.`)}`, + ); + } else if (result.handedOver) { const agent = result.handedOver.engine === "claude" ?
