The problem:

It's hard for user to find the files they need

Possible solution:

It should be on us to bubble up files and folders that are relevant for users and package them into a "Home" view

• Recently modified by me or others
• Frequency of use: How often do I open this file or folder? How often do others open this file or folder?
• "Trending" files and folder. Shared with me and very high activity from other users. E.G.
• Favorites
• Recently shared with me

What our competitors have:

One thing that pops out also from the screenshots: a prominent search bar.
This perfectly makes sense too.

There should also be clear paths to structured navigation and we really need to make sure that this feature "knows its place". We do not want to create a new problem of users losing their files because it disappeared from the Home view, which is a real concern.
