Adjust packaging scheme

Hello!

We just packaged python-zulip-api for Guix. However, there is an issue with how this project is organized for use to produce a complete package.

We've noticed that the integrations are not listed in pyproject.toml as binary scripts therefore they are not installed under the /bin directory of the package.

Would you consider making this adjustment so it's simpler to package in Linux distributions?

Hi,

Usually any scripts which require execution permission are defined in

[project.scripts]

Then the build backed move it there and applies execution permission.

We're definitely open to tweaking this. Could you stop by #integrations in chat.zulip.org and describe with some more detail why you need this change? That's where we make decisions and can bring in the folks needed to approve a change, and I don't off the top of my head know which specific scripts you have in mind.

I see some scripts are present in setupt.py

May you just add all scripts from integration instead of trying to invoke them directly?

./irc-mirror.py --irc-server=IRC_SERVER --channel= --nick-prefix= --stream= [optional args]

Each package in integration would require additional work to make it a proper Python package with main() entry point and __init__.py similar like integrations.bridge_with_matrix.matrix_bridge:main

We started adding it on Guix package side, but it feels the wrong way so better upstream it first ;-)
