Engraving Helper

An addon for Project Ascension that takes the pain out of Weapon Engraving.

Engraving spells only land reliably when a single weapon is equipped, which normally means: unequip one weapon > engrave > swap > engrave again > re-equip. Engraving Helper does all of that for you.

How it works

You get two small icons on screen (main hand / off hand):

1. Hover a slot - a picker opens with all your engraving spells. The engrave currently on that weapon is highlighted, and each one shows its real spell tooltip.
2. Click the engrave you want - the addon sets your other weapon aside and the icon pulses.
3. Click the red Engrave button (or the pulsing icon) to confirm - it casts, then your weapons are re-equipped automatically. The engrave can never land on the wrong weapon.

If anything interrupts the process (even a reload), the addon remembers which weapons it set aside and puts them back.

Features

• Icons show the current engrave and time remaining, with an engrave-colored border per element (all colors customizable)
• Weapon sets: save two loadouts (say single target and AoE), engrave them all once, then swap between them with one click or keybind. The addon maintains a toggle macro (rename it, pick its icon from the full icon list or the engraving icons) whose icon follows your sets. Weapon swapping is blocked in combat on Ascension, so a swap pressed in combat is QUEUED and fires the moment combat ends (press again to cancel) - with an on-screen "Queued" indicator you can style and place freely
• Optional swap button next to the slot icons: arrow art, the current set's icon, or its name - with anchor, offsets and size options
• Expiry reminder: a glow on the icon (WeakAuras-style: pixel, proc, autocast shine) and/or a custom text when the engrave is about to run out - you pick the minutes
• Full settings window (/eh or the minimap button): icon size and layout, duration text, picker behavior, tooltips, hide the off-hand slot for 2H builds, and more
• Everything also works from the settings window, including a safe two-click Engrave button per hand

Install

1. Download the latest zip from Releases
2. Extract it into Interface\AddOns so you end up with Interface\AddOns\EngraveHelper\
3. /reload or restart the game

Notes

• You need one free bag slot while engraving (the other weapon has to go somewhere)
• Weapons are never swapped in combat
• Slash commands: /eh opens settings, /eh log shows the event log
