What this changes

Restructures the README: centered header with badges, a contents list, a features table, install requirements, all nine examples instead of four, the prebuilt binaries per platform, and a platform support table. The technical sections are kept, tightened, and brought up to date (the layout tree was missing the newer files).

Why

The front page is the first thing anyone sees, and it was describing an older version of the project.

The crates.io and docs.rs badges stay grey until the first publish, they light up on their own once 0.4.0 is out.

How it was verified

  • Rendered through the GitHub markdown API, every contents link resolves
  • Checked every type and function the README names against the code
