Summary

  • add a fully executed Colab demonstration of NeqSim's native MultiBurnerFiredHeater
  • keep seven/five active-burner and fixed-common-air load experiments distinct
  • report actual CO mass, raw dry and 3 vol% O2-corrected concentrations, oxygen, temperatures, hot-oil duty, residual chemical power, CH4 and organic-carbon diagnostics
  • retain exact mechanism projection omissions, every-zone mass/element checks, full-energy residuals, mechanism fingerprint and class-origin provenance
  • catalog the notebook and add durable maintenance evidence

This is the notebook increment for equinor/neqsim#4151, following the native API delivered through equinor/neqsim#4183.

Validation

  • 11/11 code cells executed in a fresh Python process; zero stored errors
  • targeted repository validator with --require-main-source: 0 errors, 0 warnings
  • seven/five mass and every-element residuals < 1e-7; energy residual < 1e-6; native projection omissions < 1e-6
  • load-sweep maximum omitted-element fraction 3.247241e-4 against declared 1e-3; maximum energy residual 1.788856e-7
  • all four stored figures visually inspected at original resolution
  • synchronization base bc8c96b... was merged without force-push; the updated 10 wt% KCl hydrate notebook, both catalog changes, both ledger shards and heater evidence are preserved
  • current master 4c2139bf...; branch is 3 commits ahead / 6 behind and GitHub reports it mergeable
  • all five exact-head workflows pass on 5cc2a286...: Notebook integrity, Northern Lights, seismic-to-RMS, data-reconciliation/Bayesian-twin and CO2 low-temperature validation

The managed validation runtime blocks Jupyter ZeroMQ sockets. Cells were therefore executed sequentially in one fresh Python process while retaining execution counts, stdout, HTML tables and PNG figures.

Documentation impact

README, executable notebook catalog and maintenance ledgers are updated. No NeqSim Java API, defaults or runtime behavior are changed by this Colab-only increment.

Limits

GRI-Mech 3.0 is a software demonstration, not C3/C4 qualification. Local-air capture, chamber geometry, tube sink and steady refractory are declared assumptions. No plant calibration, VOC-instrument equivalence, emissions compliance, burner-safety or heater-design certification is claimed.
