What and why

The platform made the commits and the branch from the files the agent handed back; it does not use the agent's own git state on the box, so anything the summary says about committing, branching or pushing describes only what the agent could do there.

The agent's summary, quoted:

Adds docs/e2e-check.md containing the single line `e2e check ok`, as the control issue asks, to
check the issue-run path end to end. No other files change. The file was written in a fresh clone,
but the branch agent/issue-44 was not created and nothing was committed: the sandbox's permission
settings blocked every git command in the clone directory (checkout -b and rev-parse were both
refused). base_sha was read directly from .git/refs/heads/main. Per the issue, close this PR without
merging after review.

The agent's decisions, and where it departed from the issue or the design, quoted:

1. The file ends with a trailing newline after the single line, which is standard for text files;
   the file still has exactly one line.
2. The branch agent/issue-44 was not created and no commit was made because the permission settings
   refused git commands in the clone; I did not try to get around this. The file is an uncommitted
   change on main.
3. Tests were not run: the change is one docs file and the environment blocked running commands in
   the repository directory.
