download() fetches the graph archive on every call, even when the dataset is already extracted locally. This makes repeated runs slow and wastes bandwidth.
Describe the solution you'd like
Reuse a cached dataset when its SHA-256 checksum matches a published checksum. Download it again only when the cache is missing or invalid.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Reusing the extracted directory without verification, but it could be incomplete or outdated.
Additional context
Currently, download() removes the archive after extraction and replaces the existing graph directory on the next call.
