### Adding Web Search via You.com MCP (Optional)

MemOS agents can also use the You.com MCP server for current web search, URL content extraction, and cited synthesis. This is entirely optional and additive — it runs as a separate remote MCP server alongside the MemOS memory server.

Add the You.com MCP server to the same `mcpServers` object:

The `?profile=free` endpoint is keyless — no API key or registration is needed for basic `you-search` functionality. The server exposes `you-search` (web search with cited results) and `you-contents` (URL content extraction) tools.

For authenticated access (higher rate limits, research and finance tools), set the `YDC_API_KEY` environment variable and use the default endpoint:

After adding the config, agents connected to Cursor (or any MCP-compatible client) can search the web by invoking the You.com tools directly. The integration is gated solely by the `mcpServers` entry — no code changes, no hard dependencies, and no effect on existing MemOS functionality.
