halcyon is an Embree/ISPC ANARI device: a 'preview' renderer modelled on the ANARI SDK's helide and a 'quality' path tracer ported from Typhoon. It is copied from the standalone anari-halcyon repository at 94e457c, without its history; hashes its docs cite refer to that repository. It builds like the rtx and gl devices: its own CMake project, VisRTX's version (26.09, checked against the root's), outputs in CMAKE_BINARY_DIR, ctests named halcyon::<name>. VISRTX_BUILD_HALCYON_DEVICE is off by default, since halcyon needs an ISPC compiler (and CMake 3.19), which the other devices and CI don't; it is built and tested on Linux only so far. Its LICENSE, .clang-format and .gitignore were VisRTX's own, so the copy drops them.
