The API sync job could not read its restored dataset directory when the dedicated deployment account used a different UID from the image's non-root node user. Preserve the host-provisioned ACL mask on the dataset bind directory so both users can manage dataset files while runtime secrets stay private. Document the required access/default ACLs and normalize the affected documentation to UTF-8.
Validation: all 8 deployment contract checks and shell syntax checks pass on Linux; the scoped ACLs are installed on the destination before retrying deployment.
