[pandas] Use current pandas lecture and add another lecture that uses polars instead #407
Description
We currently have a lecture introducing pandas in lecture/pandas.md.
We want to:
- take this lecture and migrate from using pandas to use the polars library
- keep the content of the lecture the the same, but update the context of the surrounding discussion where needed to correctly reference polars methods etc.
- call the lecture
lecture/polars.md - add the new lecture to the
_toc.yml

Delivered by #408, merged 2026-07-30.
All four points are addressed: the pandas lecture was migrated to Polars, the surrounding discussion was updated to reference Polars methods and idioms, the lecture is named
lectures/polars.md, and it is listed inlectures/_toc.ymlunder "Working with Data".Closing as completed. One follow-up defect found while validating the translation sync is tracked separately in #589.
