It'd be nice for users of this package to have type information for IDE hints, readability, and for detecting bugs. JupyterGIS would benefit from this.
Tasks would include:
- Annotate arguments and return types
- Run a type checker on this codebase in CI to validate annotations are correct
- Add py.typed marker for downstream users to know this package is typed
