From EAB: "The issue is that the average group size estimates for some species are <1, when there should at least be one whole animal (see attached Excel file from the siteinfo file from swfscDAS for our 1991-2024 CCE surveys - I highlighted the column of interest). This seems to be happening for mixed group sightings where not all of the observers (typically only one observer) saw a particular species in a mixed group sighting and assigned it a very low percentage (see attached Word file for examples from the das files for the first four sightings in the Excel file). If at least one observer sees at least one animal, that species should at a minimum be assigned an average GS =1. Hopefully this is a simple fix of just assigning all of the <1 averages to =1, which we can easily deal with post processing, but I think for other users we should probably add this to the swfscDAS package."
