Type of Change

  • Bugfix
  • Enhancement / new feature
  • Refactoring
  • Documentation

Description

  • make timestamped floating tags the default
  • as we'll use flux image automation for all our services soon this removes the need to adjust the github actions by hand
  • instead dependabot will handle the update for us so we can just use the timestamped images
  • old image tags will still be available so this is not breaking anything (i would still give it a major update release)

lgtm, maybe the option can also be removed. so it can not be disabled?

We could but this is an open source repo so we would create a breaking change.
Therfore i would keep both options.
