A fresh checkout could require Cloudflare authentication and service credentials just to run the local site. Disable remote bindings unless a Cloudflare API token is supplied, keep environment loading within the current checkout, and let missing optional services produce usable local states.
Docs fall back to public GitHub files when local files are unavailable. Public database lists stay empty without a database, sign-in only offers configured providers, and the unconfigured shop links to the live shop. Local sessions use a random worker-local secret, while production still requires configuration. Local production telemetry is disabled. The README documents optional services and the Node requirement now matches Vite.
Validation: credential-free startup with an empty Cloudflare config directory and no environment file, public route checks, rendered sign-in and shop checks, new local-service regressions, and the full pnpm test suite.
