Not merging as-is. cachetools 7.1.7 makes mypy fail on existing TTLCache usage:

  • src/project_x_py/client/cache.py:177 redundant-cast
  • src/project_x_py/order_manager/tracking.py:1361-1362 incompatible assignment (int vs dict[str, Any])

Runtime tests passed. Needs a small typing fix (annotate the recreated caches) before this can land.

Daily maintenance (2026-09-27): not merging

  • CI not green (lint / claude-review failed; checks look stale vs current main).
  • cachetools 6.1.0 → 7.1.7 is a major dependency bump; needs a fresh rebase + compatibility check before merge (we use TTLCache in client/order tracking).

Leave open.

Daily maintenance (2026-09-28): leaving open — CI still red on the branch tip, and this is a major cachetools 6 → 7 bump (API breaks around @cached/@cachedmethod). Branch is also 24 commits behind main. Needs rebase + green CI + a compatibility pass on TTLCache usage in order_manager/tracking.py before merge.

Daily maintenance (2026-09-29): opened a clean superseding PR from current main: #150 (maint/119-cachetools-7).

Bumps to cachetools 7.2.0 with TTLCache typing fixes so mypy is green. Will merge that PR when CI is green and close this Dependabot PR as superseded.

Lockfile now resolves cachetools 7.2.0 (requires >=7.1.7). cachetools 7
ships stubs that type TTLCache.get() as V | None, so the instrument
cache no longer needs a cast. Recreating order-tracking caches must use
TTLCache[str, dict[str, Any]] and TTLCache[str, int] so restore loops
do not mix value types.
