chore: sync with upstream pingdotgg/t3code main - #149
Upstream's new Muse usage discovery starts a Muse host, so the fork's harness launch mark (fork ledger 0031) now applies to it too; its test expects the mark rather than exempting the new spawn path from the divergence.
Medium Risk
Large navigation and native layout changes across iOS/Android split views, tab state, and preferences; incorrect tab routing or overlay sidebar logic could affect core workspace flows, though changes are mostly UI/navigation scoped.
Overview
Adds Usage as a workspace section alongside Chats and Pulls, with navigation driven by configurable tab order and visibility stored in mobile preferences. Phones show up to four enabled tabs (fifth slot is Settings); overflow sections appear in Settings, and a new Navigation tabs screen lets users reorder, hide, or reset tabs when customization is enabled.
Native shell: Android workspace rail/bar and iOS sidebar tab bar now take a tabs prop and string-based selection; iOS gains an optional compose button beside the floating tab row. Adaptive layout treats Usage (and Settings on Android) as full workspace pages, uses overlay split behavior on native unfolded Duo portrait, and exposes setPrimarySidebarVisible for overlay sidebars. iOS native tab host uses fixed slots (four tabs + settings) with a floating WorkspaceSidebarTabs on iPad/compact layouts; search/compose toolbar behavior is reworked for Duo and compact modes.
Smaller follow-ons: Usage screen can run as a workspace root; Muse appears in usage provider labels/colors; project favicons can render mapped Lucide icons as SF Symbols; react-native-screens fork dep bumps to t3.43; Root stack simplifies Settings sheet presentation and Android animations.

Usage split pane leaves stack header
Medium Severity
On Android split view, the Usage pane never hides the stack header the way the pull-request pane does. After leaving HomeRouteScreen, those native header options fall away, so Usage can show the stack bar above the SettingsScreen app bar.
The PR adds configurable mobile workspace navigation, including tab order and visibility preferences, new Usage routing, and adaptive navigation surfaces. It also adds Muse Code usage-history reporting, updates pending handoff selection, changes AgentActivity presentation, and adds symbol rendering for supported project icons.
Changes: Mobile workspace navigation
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Tab preferences and state apps/mobile/src/features/workspace/navigation-tab-order.ts, navigation-tabs.ts, workspace-tabs-state.ts, WorkspaceTabsContext.tsx, apps/mobile/src/persistence/mobile-preferences.ts, related tests
Shared helpers resolve tab order, visibility, selection, and overflow. Mobile preferences store tab order and hidden tabs, and workspace state includes Usage.
Configurable navigation surfaces apps/mobile/modules/t3-native-controls/*, apps/mobile/src/features/workspace/AndroidWorkspaceNavigation.android.tsx, WorkspaceNativeTabs.ios.tsx, WorkspaceSidebarTabs*, WorkspaceSectionToolbar.tsx, related native dependency and docs
Android and iOS navigation controls render configured tabs. The controls support string-based selection and conditional compose behavior.
Workspace routing and settings apps/mobile/src/features/workspace/WorkspaceRootScreen*, WorkspaceExtraTab.tsx, WorkspaceNoTabs.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/settings/*, apps/mobile/src/features/usage/UsageRouteScreen.tsx, apps/mobile/src/Stack.tsx
Workspace roots route extra tabs to Usage and display an empty state when all sections are hidden. Settings adds tab visibility, ordering, reset, and overflow controls.
Adaptive layout and navigation controls apps/mobile/src/features/layout/*, apps/mobile/src/lib/layout.ts, apps/mobile/src/native/*, apps/mobile/src/features/pull-requests/PullRequestRouteScreen.tsx
Workspace layout tracks overlay sidebar state and native presentation. Sidebar sizing, split-view behavior, headers, and pane backgrounds use the derived layout.
Search, keyboard, and screen insets apps/mobile/src/features/workspace/WorkspaceToolbar.ios.tsx, ThreadDetailScreen.tsx, apps/mobile/src/components/ui/ScreenScrollView.tsx, apps/mobile/src/lib/reserved-regions.ts, related tests
Search and compose controls, keyboard ownership, and bottom clearance now account for device layout and sidebar state.
Muse usage reporting

Summary
Usage contract and home discovery packages/contracts/src/usage.ts, packages/provider-muse/*
Muse is added as a usage provider. The provider parses transcript events and resolves the Muse home through a cached read-only SDK host.
Parser and discovery validation packages/provider-muse/src/server/usage.test.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageTranscriptStreaming.test.ts
Tests cover parsing, deduplication, invalid records, home discovery, cache behavior, and incremental transcript reads.
Usage service registration and integration apps/server/src/provider/builtInDrivers.ts, apps/server/src/server.ts, apps/server/src/usage/*
The server registers Muse in usage aggregation. Integration tests cover history scanning, summaries, persistence, and pricing.
A starting run with a context handoff ID can now qualify as the handoff source. Tests cover starting and unstarted handoff states.
Agent activity widget
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Phase glyph and status label apps/mobile/src/widgets/AgentActivity.tsx
The compact trailing count badge is replaced by a phase glyph. The minimal presentation uses the hero row glyph when available and adds a “Failed” fallback label.
The change is mergeable with small follow-ups. A project icon named "constructor" can render blank on Android. Search focus can occasionally fail to start on some iOS devices. The iOS Settings screen has no visible way to leave it other than the swipe gesture.

Reject inherited keys in the symbol lookup.
The project-icon contract accepts name: "constructor". For that name, this lookup returns the inherited Object constructor rather than undefined. ProjectFavicon then takes the symbol branch instead of its monogram fallback, while the Android symbol renderer returns no icon. Check that the lookup owns the key before returning a symbol. Restore bounded autofocus retries for newly mounted search bars.
When NATIVE_LIQUID_GLASS_SUPPORTED is false on a non-Duo device, focusSearch dispatches search and immediately calls searchRef.current?.focus() before the search bar mounts. V5StackHeader then makes only one animation-frame attempt. restoreSearch does not call focus() when duoSearch is false. If native attachment occurs after that frame, search remains unfocused. The folded Duo path has an additional guarded focus call in restoreSearch, so the non-Duo path is the affected case.
Restore the bounded retry until native focus is acknowledged.

Add an explicit exit control to the iOS Settings root.
SettingsSheet hides its outer header. The inner Settings route also hides the back button, and SettingsRouteScreen does not render the SettingsScreen AppBar on iOS. The Settings tab remains a navigation target, not a dismissal control. Users can dismiss the card with the enabled gesture, but there is no visible exit control.
If the card presentation remains, add a visible iOS close or back control that calls navigation.goBack().
