Make all repairs go with its config entry ID. Otherwise they were treated as global. The only global one is the yaml depreciation issue.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Configuration issues are now tracked separately for each setup, preventing one setup’s status from affecting another.
    • Repair flows now open correctly for configuration issues associated with a specific setup.

📝 Walkthrough

Configuration issues now use identifiers scoped to individual config entries. Setup and initialization clear issues using the updated identifiers, and repair routing accepts entry-specific configuration issue IDs.

Changes: Configuration issue scoping

Layer / File(s) Summary
Create and clear entry-specific issues
custom_components/solaredge_modbus_multi/__init__.py, custom_components/solaredge_modbus_multi/hub.py
Setup removes the legacy shared configuration issue. Hub initialization creates and clears an issue using the config entry ID. The deprecated keep_modbus_open issue ID now includes the config entry ID.
Route entry-specific repair issues
custom_components/solaredge_modbus_multi/repairs.py, tests/test_repairs.py
Repair routing matches IDs with the check_configuration_ prefix. A test checks that an entry-specific issue routes to CheckConfigurationRepairFlow.

Priority: ⬇️ Low

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Change: Bug fix

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to b74af

Some upgraded installations may continue to show the old global deprecation warning. This is a limited user-facing issue without an established operational impact, so merge risk is low.

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to b74af

Entry-specific identifiers improve isolation between configurations, and no new privilege or network access was identified. Issue cleanup after configuration removal and across version changes remains unverified.

Retained concerns
No architecture-level concerns identified.

Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — The changed failure path is bounded to the owning configuration's diagnostic identifier. One entry's successful initialization no longer deletes another entry's configuration-timeout issue, improving cross-entry failure containment without adding a network destination or device-control operation.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The issue's entry identity originates from the ConfigEntry supplied during setup, not from a device response. Prefix matching does not independently authorize a target: the router requires the entry referenced by issue data to exist. It does not compare the issue suffix with data.entry_id, but the changed producer supplies both from the same stored identity; no attacker-controlled mismatch path was established.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — The integration's unload function removes runtime state but does not explicitly delete the scoped issue, and repair routing returns no flow when its entry no longer exists. Whether the framework cleans up these issues after removal, repair completion, or restart remains unresolved; orphaned issue persistence is therefore not treated as a verified finding.

Remove or migrate the legacy shared deprecation issue.

The PR base creates deprecated_keep_modbus_open and advances affected entries to version 2.3. An upgrade from that version skips the new entry-specific creation branch. async_setup_entry deletes only check_configuration, so the old shared warning can remain visible. This is a stale-warning issue, not a duplicate-warning issue. Remove the shared issue or migrate it to the appropriate entry-specific issue.
