Closed

Description

@pitrou

Describe the bug, including details regarding any error messages, version, and platform.

If you build libarrow.so with ARROW_EXTRA_ERROR_CONTEXT disabled and then link it against application code compiled with ARROW_EXTRA_ERROR_CONTEXT enabled, you get dynamic loader errors at runtime:

 3/73 Test  #4: arrow-misc-test ...........................***Failed    0.09 sec
Running arrow-misc-test, redirecting output into /build/build-test/build/test-logs/arrow-misc-test.txt
/build/build-test/debug/arrow-misc-test: symbol lookup error: /build/build-test/debug/arrow-misc-test: undefined symbol: arrow::Status::AddContextLine(char const*, int, char const*)
/build/build-test/src/arrow
