CLIs built on this SDK register commands of their own: beam-client adds beam configure, beam quickstart and, in beam-cloud/beam-client#102, beam feedback. Agents learn the CLI from the skill that setup agent installs, but that skill is beta9's bundled Markdown, so those commands can't be described there without putting product-specific text in beta9.

SDKSettings.skill_sections fixes that. It holds Markdown sections that install_skill appends to SKILL.md, rendered with the same placeholders ({{cli}}, {{product}}, ...). The reference files are unchanged, and with no sections SKILL.md installs exactly as before.

settings = SDKSettings(name="Beam", ..., skill_sections=[FEEDBACK_SECTION])

There's no version bump here; the next SDK release carries it.

Testing

test_skill_ends_with_the_clis_own_sections checks that:

  • without sections, SKILL.md installs exactly as before
  • sections come after it, rendered and separated by a blank line
  • reference files are untouched

pytest tests gives 900 passed and 2 skipped, and ruff is clean.

SDKSettings.skill_sections holds Markdown that `setup agent` appends to
SKILL.md, rendered with the skill's placeholders. A CLI that adds its own
commands can teach agents about them without putting that text in beta9.

beam setup agent appends a Feedback section to the use-beam skill once beam-client depends on a beta9 with SDKSettings.skill_sections (beam-cloud/beta9#2092). Older beta9 releases ignore it.
