  • Define workflow that contains a job that marks whether a PR can be (auto-)merged or not.
  • Add repository ruleset for the default branch that defines the job as "required status check".
  • Allow bypass for org admin and repo maintain.

See davx5-ose ruleset as an example.

    Done / Can be closed when:

    • Add job with combined test results as status check output #129 merged
    • new branch ruleset "Required tests" was added with:
      • Enforcement: Active
      • Bypass list: add "Organization admin" and "Maintain" (role), both set to "Always allow"
      • Target branches: "Include default branch"
      • Enable "Require status checks to pass"
        • add check Tests and pick source "GitHub Actions"
        • Leave "Require branches to be up to date" off.
