Muse Code now supports current native hooks and resumable tracing across live capture, historical import, and attach. Live hooks and exports share deterministic model/tool IDs; detaching leaves native work open, while late completion enriches the same spans without allowing older root snapshots to replace newer answers.

  • Register all 17 Muse 1.3+ events and preserve enterprise managed hooks and unrelated user hooks. Managed runs use documented invocation-local configuration, native argument ordering, private route context, and runtime version provenance.
  • Translate tool success/failure, batch results, permission observations, child lifecycle, compaction, and failed turns. Preserve request/response metadata and final root output; normalize cumulative hook usage into per-model metrics and correct root totals.
  • Import native tool identities, timing, and explicit task failure reasons. Bound observation caches; support cancellation during export, same-time content enrichment, and destination-scoped causal root watermarks persisted through journal recovery.
  • Add sanitized native fixtures, regression coverage, and a Linux native-integration CI job using loopback inference/ingest. Native tests select Muse's file credential backend and disable telemetry to avoid macOS Keychain dialogs with temporary homes.
Integration area Evidence
Native interface audit Official Muse hook reference plus captured 1.4.10 hooks and 1.4.11 exports
Translation Fixtures and exact hierarchy, failure, token, metadata, and replay regressions
Capture All 17 hook registrations; tool/batch/compaction/permission/child event tests
Setup Idempotence, migration, disablement, foreign user hooks, strict enterprise managed hooks
Managed run Native 1.4.10 preservation/sanitized-environment tests; 1.4.11 deterministic tool/failure/retry run
Import and attach Native active export, Ctrl-C detach, reattach, completion, and stable reimport IDs on 1.4.11
Verification 604 default Rust tests pass; all-target Clippy, formatting, diff checks pass; native tests also run explicitly in CI
Distribution Hooks ship through bt; after merge, dispatch its existing update-bt-daemon.yml to prepare the consumer pin/lockfile PR, then release bt

Native fidelity limits remain explicit: hook messages/output are previews; permission hooks do not report decisions; compaction lacks operation IDs. Observed built-in reminder child hook/export metadata omits parent identity, so ancestry is not guessed across concurrent sessions. Legacy exports without model_step cannot guarantee live/export model deduplication. Muse's official installer supports Linux/macOS; Windows runs Rust fixture tests only.

Local native tests passed before the final isolated-credential setting was added. After macOS Keychain creation dialogs were reported, native processes were stopped and file credentials were explicitly configured using Muse's official harness setting. Final local validation used the default suite (604 pass, 9 ignored) and all-target Clippy; the updated native tests are wired into Linux CI.
