…rming Step 3 rarely fired: it required the work to be "several independent subsystems", and its outcome was to divide and prioritize rather than to narrow what this session delivers. Agents therefore accepted requests too large to deliver, then covered every part shallowly. The rewritten rule triggers on delivery depth rather than subsystem count, requires cutting along paths that each work end to end instead of layers or setup phases, and limits the session to the first path with an explicit statement of what was not built. The closing sentence keeps medium tasks out: judge by the depth the deliverable needs, not by files touched. Body-only change. Descriptions and the SessionStart primer are untouched, so fixed injected context stays at 4580 characters and routing is unchanged. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Problem
Two failure modes were reported against oversized requests:
brainstormingstep 3 already claimed to cover splitting, but it did not fire in practice:Change
One line rewritten in
plugins/coding-discipline/skills/brainstorming/SKILL.md:Why not a new skill
CLAUDE.mdforbids competing with the harness orchestration layer, and a general "decompose the problem" skill is a plan-mode replacement.Descriptions were deliberately left untouched. Routing changes require real false-trigger or missed-trigger reports; no such session was available, and a body change is reversible, free, and only applies after the skill has already triggered correctly.
Scope not covered
Large-codebase context exhaustion is intentionally not addressed. With a reproducible symptom,
systematic-debuggingalready bounds reading to the call chain rather than the repository. Without one, the problem is context capacity, which is solved by isolation in the harness, not by prompt-level discipline — and that is an explicit hard boundary of this project.Verification

No version bump: body-only, no manifest or routing change.
