Downloading requires the ARL cookie of your Deezer account. Log in at deezer.com in a browser, copy the value of the arl cookie from the developer tools (Application or Storage tab), then paste it in Deemix under Settings > Login > Log in with ARL. An ARL expires after about three months.
Deemix has no login of its own, and the saved ARL is used for every visitor. Anyone who can reach port 6595 can download with your Deezer account, so keep it on a trusted network or behind an authenticating reverse proxy.
Music is saved to /opt/deemix_data/music. To store it on a NAS or media share, bind-mount that share onto the same path, e.g. pct set -mp0 /mnt/media/music,mp=/opt/deemix_data/music. In an unprivileged container the host directory must be writable by UID 100000.
Settings, the saved ARL and logs live in /opt/deemix_data/config, outside the app directory, so updates keep them.
Deemix downloads through your own Deezer account. Whether that is allowed depends on Deezer's terms of use and the law where you live.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
Really appreciate your efforts for this one! I did a little testing with a privileged container and everything seems to work.
The only issue I had was with album downloads where they'd fail with "ENOENT: no such file or directory, unlink '/tmp/deemix-imgs/alb7103067_800.jpg'" - however that is a known upstream bug with a workaround of setting concurrent downloads in Settings to 1 (for anyone testing this).
Finally, it is possible to save directly to a mount by using the web GUI "Settings -> Download Path" to your mount path instead of using the Console. Note for unprivileged the UID needed above.
