Gopeed is a fast, modern download manager for HTTP(S), BitTorrent, Magnet links and ed2k, written in Go and Flutter. It adds JavaScript extensions, a REST API, webhooks, post-download scripts and browser integration. This script installs the headless web edition, a single binary that serves the web UI and the API on port 9999 with login enabled.

The Gopeed script is ready for testing. Run it in the Proxmox VE shell (or on an Incus host) to create a container:
Default credentials:
Username: gopeed
Sign in with the username gopeed and the password generated during the install. Both are in /opt/gopeed_data/config.json (username, password); after changing them run systemctl restart gopeed.
The REST API and the browser extension's remote mode authenticate with apiToken from /opt/gopeed_data/config.json, sent as the X-Api-Token header.
Keep /opt/gopeed_data/config.json valid JSON. Gopeed silently ignores a file it cannot parse and then starts without any authentication, on an empty database inside /opt/gopeed.
Downloads land in /opt/gopeed_data/downloads. To keep them on host storage, bind-mount a host directory there, e.g. pct set -mp0 /path/on/host,mp=/opt/gopeed_data/downloads; in an unprivileged container the host directory must be writable by UID 100000. config.json only sets this directory on the first start, later changes are made in the Gopeed settings.
Settings, the task database, extensions and logs live in /opt/gopeed_data/storage, outside /opt/gopeed, which an update replaces.
The web UI sends an anonymous usage statistic (Google Analytics) from the browser when it opens. Turn it off per browser under Settings > About > Upload Statistics.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
