Closing this Dependabot PR — it overlaps with the bulk Dependabot cleanup in flight. The staging-side fix for next lives in #102 (which bumps next to 16.4.0, not 16.3.8 as in this PR); once #102 and the rest of the staging series land and are cherry-picked to main, the underlying alert will be closed regardless of this PR.

#106 was reserved in my notes for the integration (staging→main) PR; that will be opened under a different number once the staging-side PRs merge.
