Drop the superseded grpc v1.84.0, genproto and cel.dev/expr v0.25.2 sums that the Renovate update left behind, so the tidy check passes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Scope: the whole diff against main (go.mod, go.sum): google.golang.org/grpc v1.84.0 → v1.85.0, its genproto/googleapis/{api,rpc} companions, and cel.dev/expr v0.25.2 → v0.25.3 (indirect). The two later commits are an agent go.sum tidy and two merges of main; the net diff against main is the version lines and their sums only.
- Upstream release review. Read the grpc-go v1.85.0 release notes, the only release in the range. New:
statsexposes the effective client authority;metadata.ValueFromOutgoingContext. Fixes: transport control-buffer throttling now counts only peer-induced frames (default limit 100 → 10,000);Stop()terminates duringGracefulStop(); serverHEADERS/EndStreamhandling per RFC 7540; streams truncated mid-message fail withio.ErrUnexpectedEOFinstead ofio.EOF. No API removal, no new minimum Go version, no licence change. Nothing here is behind a local workaround, and nothing needs adapting: platform uses grpc only as a client library through Talos machinery and its test helpers, none of which match onio.EOF. - Correctness. Required checks are green at this head, including Validate Go Project, so the module graph builds and the platform Go tests pass with the new versions.
- Security. Dependency-only change; the transport hardening is a small improvement. No workflow, permission or manifest changed.
- Findings: none at P0/P1.
Verdict: no P0/P1 findings

GRPC_GO_EXPERIMENTAL_CONTROL_BUFFER_THROTTLE_LIMITfrom 100 to 10,000, and close client connections if reads remain throttled for10s. (#9563)Stop()forcefully terminates the server whileGracefulStop()is waiting for active handlers to complete. (#9394)HEADERSframes to comply with RFC 7540 §5.1.1. Previously, truncatedHEADERSframes left the connection in an inconsistent state and allowed stream IDs to be reused by clients without resulting in a protocol error. (#9414)HEADERSframe includes theEndStreambit. Previously, this caused server handlers to hang when reading a message. (#9391):authorityandHostheaders with HTTP 400 and statusInternal. (#9365):authorityvalue specified by the LB policy instead of inheriting it from a previous attempt.
