With the default Option+Space held in the left hand, the send key, Right Option, needed the right hand, the one on the mouse. The index finger of the hand holding the chord rests on V, so a prompt can be dictated and sent with one hand.

• Hotkey.keyV (key code 0x09, a key position, so it sits in the same place on every layout; the recorder names it after what it types there) is the default in Settings and in its decoding fallback.
• Existing users keep their key. Saved settings store the send key explicitly, so only new installs get V.
• A letter works as a send key without other changes. The tracker swallows it, its repeats and its key-up only while the chord is held. It arms the release rather than interrupting it, even inside the 1 s interruption window, and passes through at all other times.
• Accessibility is no reason to prefer a modifier: without Accessibility, Carbon ignores the send key altogether. The one difference is on the Carbon path (no Accessibility, or Secure Event Input): there Option+V reaches the app, where Right Option typed nothing. Noted in the CLAUDE.md decisions row.

#67 re-records the hero GIF with V and says V in the docs, so merge this first.

Test plan

• swift test: 339 tests pass, including the new defaultSubmitKeyWorksWithTheHandHoldingTheChord (Option+Space held, V swallowed and arming the release, V typing again afterwards) and the settings fallback now expecting .keyV.
• Live: a build of this branch, with no send key in its settings, sent a dictation into Claude Code when V was pressed during Option+Space (release-to-paste 197 ms). That take is the GIF in Docs: hero GIF and a shorter README #67.

No benchmark: the send key's Return is posted after the paste from a detached task, and nothing between recordingStopped and inserted changes.
