The failure reproduces in the original, unroundtripped assembly when DOTNET_TieredCompilation=0; ILASM is not causal. The optimized JIT expands nullable boxing to a potentially null exact-typed local, then VN-based assertion propagation folds Object.GetType() to the underlying runtime type constant without retaining the required null check.

I think it's a regression from #129371, and yes it should be fixed in .NET 11.
