The release build failed while installing unsupported win32 PyTorch dependencies and while falling back to a Gensim source build on older Linux images. Build 64-bit wheels, use compatible manylinux images for Python 3.9–3.13, and omit legacy musllinux targets without scientific dependency wheels. Keep Python 3.14–3.15 musllinux support and use the CPU PyTorch index only for CI.
The publishing workflow now accepts an optional
artifact_run_idto publish an already successful wheel run without rebuilding. It verifies that the source run completed successfully using this same workflow, then downloads its artifacts. Normal builds publish only frompybind11.Validation: the complete build run produced 34 version-1.6.3 wheels and one sdist. All 33 executable smoke tests passed; ARM Python 3.8 was compiled but could not be tested because the official Python installer is x86_64-only. Python 3.15 passed on Windows, Intel Mac, ARM Mac, and both Linux targets. Upload-only run successfully published these 35 artifacts to PyPI. No Python or C++ runtime source was changed.
Post-publication validation: fresh pip installations from PyPI on Apple Silicon macOS 26.3 confirmed version 1.6.3. Python 3.14.8 automatically installed PyTorch 2.14.1 and passed hypergraph message passing; Python 3.15.0 installed without PyTorch and showed the expected installation link. Both environments passed Python graph algorithms, native C++ operations, SciPy conversion, and pip dependency checks.
