Response interrupted and I cannot work anymore... #3363

Describe the bug
On Copilot CLI, after a bit, I encounter these errors:

● Response was interrupted due to a server error. Retrying...
✗ Execution failed: Error: Failed to get response from the AI model; retried 5 times (total retry wait time: 6.33 seconds) Last error: Unknown error
When this happens, there’s no way to continue working, the flow is blocked and I have to start a new chat.

This seems to have been introduced in 1.0.48 or around there. As I am seeing the exact same issues in my corporate environment as well. I've had to downgrade to 1.0.46 to avoid this issue.

this is not a bug
This should be feature request for allowing user to pick the chat up from before the connection(or whatever) error
or whatever your desired functionality is
maybe adding a flag to
copilot --resumelike
copilot --resume=e09e6281-c319-4c84-9704-f10d434efc --before-errorsounds like this is the desired functionality @federicobrancasi wants. I also think would be nice as I wish I could resume my chat

Thanks for the report. We've shipped fixes in this area since this was filed (most recently in Copilot CLI v1.0.102), and we believe this may now be resolved. Could you retest on the latest release (Copilot CLI v1.0.103) and let us know whether you still see it? If we don't hear back in a couple of weeks, we may close this issue — you can always reopen it.
