Summary

Global menus / status / path chrome are easier for first-time users:

  • Help → Documentation / Help for This View (was Contents / Context Help)
  • About dialog hint + Documentation & homepage link label
  • Idle status uses Differences: — instead of ≠ -
  • Path footer empty tip (choose a path to see size and date)
  • Command palette “Search menus and commands”
  • Remove confusing About shortcut (use Help menu)

Test plan

  • vitest AppLayout / PathMetaFooter / statusBarPhrases
  • lint / typecheck / stylelint via pre-commit
  • CI green

Make global chrome friendlier for first-time users: Documentation and
Help for This View labels, About hint plus documentation link wording,
plain idle Differences status instead of ≠ -, path-footer empty tip,
clearer command-palette search placeholder, and remove the confusing
About keyboard shortcut in favor of the Help menu.
