This converts ROADMAP.md to the feature-table standard, generated by mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960. Not for merge until the cold read.

Rendered: https://github.com/mas-bandwidth/netcode.cs/blob/rowan/roadmap-feature-tables/ROADMAP.md

Counts: 6 areas (Connection, Security, Networking, .NET, Compatibility, Testing), 53 features, 40 done (75%). Tested revision: main c1fcf5a (ci green). Every ✅ names a test method in tests/ or a ci.yml job or a commit.

What each old item became

These five, plus own-challenge and receive-drain, have landed on sprint/netcode-cs-port (PRs #12, #13, with red tests and C differentials) but are not on main. So they stay ❌, and each row records its landing commit. Merging that branch to main makes them done.

Rows not evidenced (state unknown)

  • amplification: no test asserts the request/challenge sizing.
  • tagging: EnablePacketTagging exists, but no test connects with it on.

Open, no work yet: zeroize-keys, socket-review (notes/post-release-hardening.md), windows (no CI leg), unity (later).

CI: a new roadmap job (checkout, setup-go stable, make roadmap-check); the Makefile has the roadmap and roadmap-check targets.

Generator: nova-roadmap, a nova-tools release binary (mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960). make roadmap / make roadmap-check download the pinned NOVA_ROADMAP_VERSION (v1.6.0) into bin/ and verify it against the release SHA256SUMS; CI needs no Go. The roadmap CI job stays red until a nova-tools release carrying nova-roadmap exists (v1.6.0 if #5960 lands in it; otherwise bump the pin). Held until then, with the nova-sprint defer/lander change.

ROADMAP.md becomes the feature-table standard (Glenn, 2026-10-17): six
areas, 53 features, 40 done, every done cell carrying a test or commit
as evidence at c1fcf5a. The old items: issues #6 and #7 are done on main
(PRs #9 and #8); the five sprint cards and two more landed on
sprint/netcode-cs-port but not main, so they stay open with their
landing commits recorded. make roadmap / make roadmap-check render and
check the page; the CI job roadmap runs the check.

The roadmap generator is now nova-roadmap, a nova-tools release binary
(mas-bandwidth/nova-tools#5960), so this repository needs no Go module
or checkout for it: make roadmap / make roadmap-check download the pinned
binary (NOVA_ROADMAP_VERSION, v1.6.0) once into bin/ and check it against
the release's SHA256SUMS, and the CI job runs make roadmap-check with no
setup-go step. The page's notice now names nova-roadmap.
