Releases vscode 1.40.0: #69-#73 (the group E vscode work) on data-explorer-core v1.40.0 (mathworks/data-explorer-core#129). The CHANGELOG entry is dated 2026-10-17.
Ran npm ci, npm run verify and npm run test:integration, and all three exited 0. npm ci installed data-explorer-core 1.40.0. The lockfile resolves it to f9acdf9, which
git ls-remoteshows is the peeled v1.40.0 tag. npm ci also printed 6 high-severity audit advisories and 3 deprecation warnings; this branch did not touch them.verify passed typecheck, build and build:web; vitest passed 175 of 175 files and 3422 of 3422 tests; check:leak was OK.
Integration ran against VS Code 1.142.0 (darwin-arm64): 222 passing in 57s, with no pending and no failing. Mocha printed no pending or failing line, so there are no tests to name, and the fixed-wait flakes (typeLinkBinary, undoOfTableEdit) did not come up.
The gates ran on the version bump (verify.log builds simulink-data-explorer@1.40.0). The commit after it, 9d86edc, changes only CHANGELOG.md, so they were not re-run for it.
Logs are in /tmp/release-vscode-1.40.0/: npm-ci.log, verify.log, integration.log, plus a step record in bump-notes.txt.
