Business Events AppId is the project unit id: copied with the model and shown by no command #1526
The Business Events AppId is the project unit id, so it is copied with the model, and no command shows it.
Repro
cp app.mpr copy.mpr (or create apps from one template model).
Both apps subscribe to the same message through the Business Events module.
describe settings and show settings print no AppId.
Expected
describe settings prints the AppId; creating a copy (or mxcli new from a model) assigns a new project id.
Actual
The AppId equals the Projects$Project unit id, so two copies share it. The only static read is grepping mprcontents. Consumer-group competition between the copies is an inference; the broker behaviour was not measured.
Tested with: Mendix 11.15.0, mxcli v0.26.0 on macOS. Not retested on v0.27.0.
Summary:
The Business Events AppId is taken from the project’s unit ID, so copying an .mpr file results in duplicate AppIds and no CLI command displays it.
Checklist (bug report):
mxcli version (v0.26.0)
Mendix version (11.15.0)
Scenario (copying .mpr, subscribing to Business Events, using describe settings/show settings)
Expected output (describe settings should print the AppId; a copy should get a new project ID)
Experienced output (AppId equals the Projects$Project unit ID, so copies share it; no command shows it)
AI bug report (output of mxcli diag --bundle or at least the session log)
Missing information:
Could you please provide the diagnostic bundle (mxcli diag --bundle) or the session log from the commands you ran? This will help us investigate the issue further. Thank you!
