    Karthik Nadig (@karthiknadig) do you have experience in how to make an extension web compatible? Seems like we may need to do that for the environments extension

    Eleanor Boyd (@eleanorjboyd) I can help with this. Essentially we will need a browser entry point, that does not have most of the things that require python execution at least for now.

    Karthik Nadig (@karthiknadig) any update with it, our Fabric Data Enginerring extension on vscode.dev also blocking by this issue, as it depends on the python extension

    Jianye Xi (@jianyexi) Workaround: you can still get Python to install by using Install Specific Version, hence PyLance will work which is the main thing for me

    Then re-enable auto update
