Augist release breaks pytest testing #25474

Type: Bug
create a python project in a directory with spaces in it.
test discovery works fine on July release
same test fails on August release
I have images

Thanks for creating this issue! It looks like you may be using an old version of VS Code, the latest stable release is 1.104.1. Please try upgrading to the latest version and checking whether this issue remains.

I just used the latest pre-release. It does fix the test problem but it does not fix my ability to run code!

Actually if you look at the version number it is:

Not quite sure how the numbering system works
