Download core libraries failed on Windows with couldn't start bash ... (spawn bash ENOENT) while Download selected library (modular, Node fetch + tar.exe) worked.

Git for Windows only puts Git\cmd on PATH, so a GUI launch has no bash. findBash() now looks for:

  • bash.exe on PATH
  • ...\Git\bin\bash.exe next to any ...\Git\cmd on PATH (custom Git install dirs)
  • Git\bin\bash.exe in Program Files / Program Files (x86) / %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Git
  • MSYS2 (%MSYS2_ROOT%, C:\msys64, C:\msys2) as a login shell with CHERE_INVOKING=1

Never the WSL bash.exe in System32 / WindowsApps (can't run the C:\\ paths); WSL only -> the existing install Git for Windows / MSYS2 message. "command used" shows the resolved bash. macOS / Linux unchanged.

… (Git\cmd only on PATH from a GUI launch, spawn bash ENOENT), never WSL bash
