- Line 59: Update the fenced code blocks in the regression-test prompt examples
to specify the text language identifier, including the blocks near the existing
lines 59, 369, and 417, while preserving their contents.
In `@web/cypress/e2e/coo/03.coo_lightspeed_show_timeseries.cy.ts`:
- Line 39: Update the LightSpeed show_timeseries suite declaration identified by
the describe block so its `@perses-dashboards` tests remain excluded from the
test-cypress-coo and test-cypress-coo-bvt selections; add the required explicit
exclusions in both scripts, or consistently update the scripts and scenario
catalog only if this suite is intentionally made gating.
In `@web/cypress/e2e/perses/00.coo_bvt_perses_admin.cy.ts`:
- Line 24: Add `@smoke` alongside the existing `@perses-dashboards` tag for the
suite, and update BasicTag in test-tags.d.ts to include `@smoke` while preserving
the existing COO-specific selector tag.
In `@web/cypress/README.md`:
- Around line 87-90: Update the Virtualization entry in the Cypress test
documentation to remove the obsolete test-cypress-virtualization command and
list the current feature-specific test commands defined by web/package.json.
In `@web/package.json`:
- Around line 45-46: Remove legacy `@smoke` and `@demo` references across all
affected tag surfaces: update the test-cypress-perses and
test-cypress-perses-ivt scripts in web/package.json to remove --@smoke; revise
the Cypress examples in .claude/commands/cypress/cypress-run.md to replace
smoke/demo usage and remove test-cypress-smoke; and clean obsolete tag listings,
exclusions, and the removed smoke script from web/cypress/README.md.
- Around line 40-41: Update the test-cypress-coo and test-cypress-coo-bvt
scripts so their grepTags filters use comma-separated OR semantics instead of
plus-separated AND semantics, while preserving the existing tag exclusions.

I see, I had misunderstood what the scripts in the fixtures did and thought the tests themselves created the users. I believe the scripts in the development tools repo are structured the same way but do create the users. I think it would probably make sense to move anything the script does that it doesn't directly need to do (ie. pass in env variables) to instead be located in the monitoring-plugin codebase. That way we can make changes in a single repo without needing to worry about synconizing between the two. @etmurasaki @jgbernalp wdyt? I can update this PR to include those changes if you think that would be a good way to move forward |
|
|
Per our discussion I will be adding back the "virtualization" and "coo" tags and not calling them where appropriate. We will look to update the removal of these tags either in the final PR or in a location after that |

/unhold I also found some places which used coo features or virtualization but did not tag them, so I have added those tags. As a reminder, there is a LOT of whitespace only changes due to adding tags so when you review remember to click the hide whitespace option in the files changed tab

Add @targets to the available-tag reference.
@targets is declared in web/cypress/support/test-tags.d.ts and is used in the custom-tag example on Line 391. Add it here so the discovery list matches the tag contract.
