Team members who don't have 2FA yet get an email asking them to set it up. The next time they open the team's sites, they're taken to the 2FA setup and can't skip it. They keep access to their account and to any other teams they belong to.

## How to generate new recovery codes

Have you lost your recovery codes? You can generate new codes at any time. You can use a recovery code to log in to your Plausible account if you lose access to your authenticator app or your trusted device.

## Limits

Each site can have up to 500 annotations. Personal notes and site notes from all team members count towards the same limit. Each note can be up to 255 characters long.

## Practical uses

Annotations are most useful when your team is making changes that affect traffic. Some common things worth marking:

## Why a plan shows "Your usage exceeds this plan"

You can't choose a plan that includes less than your account uses. Hover over the message to see which limit it is: sites, team members or monthly pageviews.

- **Sites or team members:** remove the sites or team members above the plan's limit, then choose the plan.
- **Monthly pageviews:** we look at your last two complete billing cycles. The plan stays unavailable while both of them went over its pageview limit, with some leeway above it. As soon as one of the two cycles fits, you can choose it. On a trial, your pageviews over the last 30 days are used instead.

If a one-off traffic spike or bot traffic is keeping you from the plan that fits your usual traffic, [contact us](https://plausible.io/contact).

Not sure which tier fits? Check your current usage in the **Subscription** section. You can also see [Choose the right subscription](subscription-plans.md) for guidance on how usage is calculated.

Data is imported in aggregate for each date, from your first import visitor until your first Plausible Analytics visitor. This is to avoid double-counting visits. We also have measures in place to detect and avoid double-counting visitors if you import multiple properties into the same Plausible dashboard.

This means an import can't fill a gap that comes after your first Plausible data, such as months when the script wasn't installed between two periods of native stats. The import page then shows **Dates Conflict**, even for dates where your dashboard shows no visits. To fill such a gap, you can export your stats, [reset your site's stats](reset-site-data.md) and import everything again, the exported files and the data for the gap. Your native stats then become imported data, with the [differences](#how-does-imported-data-differ-from-native-data) described below.

## How can I delete imported data?

Data you have imported can be deleted by returning to your site's **Imports & Exports** settings page and clicking the **Delete Import** button in the **Existing Imports** section. This action won't affect the native data you have collected using our script directly.
