ci: fix build broken by Node 20 removal on GitHub runners - #55

setup-go@v1 and checkout@v1 stopped working when GitHub removed Node 20 from the runners; move to checkout@v5 / setup-go@v6 and build with the latest stable Go (module deps require >= 1.18). The explicit go get / dep step is gone: module mode fetches dependencies during the build.

The workflow was still on actions/setup-go@v1 and actions/checkout@v1, which stopped running when GitHub removed Node 20 from the runners.
