Use run_in_background in the swarm fan-out - #35
Conversation
spawn_subagent takes run_in_background. The swarm brief now says no subagent_type and keeps the worktree and branch clauses. Co-authored-by: Kaitian Xie <caelaxie@users.noreply.github.com>

pass. one-sentence change in skills/swarm/SKILL.md matches #27's smallest fix verbatim (no subagent_type, run_in_background: true, worktree and branch clauses kept). no other files touched, no cursor paths. Validate plugin is green on f62b126 and runs grok plugin validate + grok plugin install . --trust + plugin list + inspect skill check. Closes #27 present, not a draft. squash-merging.

Harness at head Installed checkout
Rest of CI, on this head: frontmatter check A live Installed Spawn all N workers in one message with no `subagent_type`, `isolation: "worktree"`, `run_in_background: true`, and the step 3 model, left unset for `auto` or `inherit-parent`. Use `isolation: "none"` only when the worker needs the shared checkout. When a worker must start from a non-default branch, say that branch in the brief and have the worker check it out inside its worktree. |
spawn_subagenttakesrun_in_background.skills/swarm/SKILL.mdnow passes that, says nosubagent_type, and keeps the worktree and branch clauses.Closes #27
