This is an alternative option to GH-159169, which leaves the images in question as GIFs, but significantly shorter and with some optimizations applied to shrink their size as much as possible. I think this lets them retain their point, without requiring changes to the format.

FTR: reduced to 4s (~32 frames), with gifsicle -O3 --colors 64 --lossy 30, iirc.
